Valve's 3 August update gave Counter-Strike 2 map scripting direct access to the planted bomb's state and to grenade projectiles in flight. Nothing changes in your Premier queue — but the ceiling on what a Workshop retake or utility map can do just moved, and the update notes say where.
The July update that put Cache into Active Duty also took four maps out of every game mode and put three unfamiliar ones into Competitive, Casual and Deathmatch. If you do not queue Premier, that second change is the one that affects you.
Valve swapped Cache in for Overpass when Premier Season Five began, and has been patching Cache's geometry since. That changes what is worth practising right now, and what will be obsolete by the time you have learned it.
Valve replaced how C4 detonation damage is calculated in Counter-Strike 2 over three July updates. Distance alone no longer tells you whether you survive a detonation — and the game now shows you the answer before it happens.
