If you are contacting us about something sensitive and want to discuss anonymity, say so in your first message and do not include details you would not want in an ordinary email until we have agreed how to proceed. Our editorial standards set out when we grant anonymity.

What we do not accept

• Paid coverage, sponsored posts and link placements. We do not sell coverage or links, and these enquiries are not answered.
• Guest posts. Everything we publish is produced by our own desk.
• Requests to remove accurate coverage. We will correct anything inaccurate; we will not delete something because a party dislikes it.

Response times

We aim to acknowledge corrections within two working days and other enquiries within five. We are a small desk, and we would rather reply properly than quickly.
